Silk is made by silkworms. These are really caterpillars of the silk moth. They spin a casing, or cocoon, of silk to protect themselves before changing into moths.


Some foods are produced in a natural way. These foods are called organic foods. The crops are not sprayed with chemicals, and the animals can eat foods without chemical additives.



One of the most costly foods is caviar. It is the tiny black eggs from a large fish called a sturgeon. The best caviar costs more than a new bicycle. It tastes very salty.


The biggest sporting event in the world is the Olympic Games. These Games happen every four years. Almost 4000 people take part in more than 25 different sports.


The Hindus Great Fair on the banks of the River Ganges is the greatest gathering of people in the world. Up to 20 million people go there every year.
